But If He Does Not

Daniel 3:16-18

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzer, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.””

Today’s Devotional
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had a decision to make. They could have asked for more time to think about this decision or bowed down immediately to save their lives. These three men knew that no matter the outcome, God was going to do something and they were willing to risk their lives for Him. Can you say the same?

Prayer
You saved me Father from the world and because of that I give You my life. I will stand firm, no matter what I go through knowing that You are with me. And no matter the outcome, even if You don’t save me from the fiery furnace I will worship You anyway. In Jesus Name, Amen!
