If we don’t get rid of the past before walking into something new it will be sabotaged. We cannot walk into a new relationship with residue from our past one. If we keep looking back, then we will never see the fullness of God ahead of us.

Prayer
Fill me with your love oh Lord and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to keep my eyes forward and looking only to you. Keep me from going backwards so I can remain moving forward, in Jesus name, Amen!
