Blessing and Persecution

Blessing and Persecution

Matthew 5:10-11

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”

Today’s Devotional
Usually when we think of the word “blessed” we think of finances, peace and joy. But Jesus says that those that are blessed are persecuted and hated. When your life suddenly feels like a tornado is tearing through know that God has a blessing at the end of it. Don’t lose hope because you can’t understand the change, take heart because you are blessed.

Prayer
Holy Spirit be my comfort through the rough times. I don’t usually think bad times equals blessings but I will hang on. Even when it hurts like hell I know that you are with me and will never leave me. I am blessed because I am yours. In Jesus name, Amen!
