Pathway Of Your Own

1 Samuel 16:10-12

“Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The LORD has not chosen these.” So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.” Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.””

Today’s Devotional
Before David became king he was a rejected son. When Samuel came to anoint the next king of Israel, Jesse, David’s father or his own brothers didn’t even invite him into the house. But through David’s rejection from his family he was anointed right in front of them while they watched God move in his life.

Prayer
God show me how to celebrate others. I want to be excited, encouraging and cheer those on that get promoted before I do. I want to prepare for my blessing by being a blessing to others. Open the door for me Lord to celebrate others before myself. In Jesus name, Amen!
