The Happiest of them All

The Happiest of them All

Matthew 6:2-4

“Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

Today’s Devotional
Don’t think that good deeds need to be seen by the world. Getting credit is not what is most important; knowing that you have done it for God is what matters most. Are you living your life for manly credit or for God’s glory?

Prayer
Father, I give my ego and pride over to you right now. Forgive me if I have been selfish in wanting the credit for all the good I have done. Its not about me, but has always been about you. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Do you find yourself getting upset when credit doesn’t go to you?
